Abstracts
A Humidified Tandem Differential Mobility Analyzer (H-TDMA) system was set up to measure atmospheric
aerosol hygroscopicity. It was found that the humidity control was the crucial factor for an accurate measurement
of aerosol hygroscopicity. Preliminary measurement of NaCl deliquescence relative humidity (DRH) was about
77%, which was ~2% higher than the known NaCl DRH, but considering the fact that the humidity sensor error
itself was about 2~3% the agreement seemed reasonably good. The preliminary hygroscopicity measurements of
atmospheric aerosols were made at Gosan and Seoul and the measured growth factors were in reasonable
agreement with some of the hygroscopicity measurements in other parts of the world.
