Abstracts
The performances of indoor air cleaners are dependent on the various parameters such as cleaning filter type and
flow rate. This study was conducted to test particle collection efficiency, air cleaning capacity, deodorization efficiency,
air flow rate, noise, and ozone emission for the forty five samples of air cleaners. These samples were selected
as typical models according to the price, cleaning type and maker in market of Korea. In this study, filter-type
and complex type air cleaners were much superior in particle and odor removal performances to ionizer type and
wet type ones. Ionizer type and wet type air cleaners showed poor air cleaning capacity and their measured ones
were far smaller than the insured ones. Ozone concentrations of 66.6% in the nine ionizer type air cleaners were
about 1.4~10 times larger than 0.05 ppm.
